Restore & Install Big Dude Truck Tool Box

I was looking to buying a truck bed tool box for my truck. I found an old truck bed tool box that my dad used to have on his old old truck. He has had two trucks since he had this box on his truck. The box was weather and was in need of some TLC. I added it to my to do list. I clean the box inside and out. I sanded the bottom and painted it with Rust-Oleum, Black 248914 Truck Bed Coating Spray. I removed the lock, handle and all the mechanisms inside the box. I ordered some replacement parts, it was hard to find exact replacement parts I guess because of the age of the box. I couldn't find Big Dude brand or another box like it. I did make it work, replaced all the parts and spray painted the box. The box works and looks good on the back of the truck. I may replace it in the future but for now it does the job and looks good.

Rust-Oleum, Black 248914 Truck Bed Coating Spray, 15 oz

With all the work and hauling stuff I'm doing with this truck. I decided to try a spray on truck bed coating. I purchased about 4 cans of Rust-Oleum, Black 248914 Truck Bed Coating Spray, 15 oz from Amazon. I basically clean the truck bed and sprayed the truck bed coating. I waited for it to dry and did another coat. It looked great, but its not as textured as I was expecting. I guess I need to purchase a higher quality roll on truck bed coating to get the texture I desire.
