The pinstripe down the side was fading and chipped off in sections. I decided to remove the pinstripe. Most of it was easy to peal off. Once I got most of it off there was still glue residue where the pinstripe was. I found a 3M Stripe Off Wheel Adhesive Remover Eraser Wheel. It was simple to use, It comes attached to a "drill bit". I placed the drill bit into the my Black and Decker Cordless Drill and just run it along the glue residue and like magic, it gone. I think my truck looks better without the pinstripe. I had thought about restriping it with white but I changed my mind. I ordered some black pinstripe and restriped it over where the original pinstripe was to cover up any blemishing left during the removal.

Replaced Tailgate Support Cables
The tailgate lift support cables are in need of being replaced. The passenger side cable is cracking and the driver's side cable has completely come off. I watched a youtube video and order the parts. The repair was simple and easy. It only took about twenty minutes.

Torque Pro App
Figured out the odometer isn't working correctly. I don't know where to take it to get it repaired. Google searched and found a great app, Toro App. I already got a cheap tablet from work. I downloaded the Torque Pro App and purchased a Panlong Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner from Amazon. The app reads the truck's information from scanner and displays it on the tablet. It's a quick and cheap fix. I haven't gotten a speeding ticket so far and it appears to accurate when I traveled along side my wife in her car.

Welcome Home
My first pickup truck, a 1998 Chevy 1500 Cheyenne. The body is in good shape and the engine runs good. The engine was replaced long before it became mine, so its still good. Less mechanical work for me to do. I can focus on the cosmetics now. LETS GO!
